Customer data guarded, supplier access temporary, stores stocked

Retailers hold contact and card data for millions of shoppers, rely on suppliers who need a way into tills and platforms, and live by their peak seasons. Rudratic helps retailers make admin and supplier access temporary and recorded, watch the databases that hold customer data, keep stock above its reorder point from the distribution centre to the store, and run shifts for seasonal staff.

What retailers have to get right

  1. 01

    Help desks and admin accounts

In the 2025 attacks on UK retailers, attackers reportedly posed as staff and talked IT help desks into resetting accounts, then used that access to reach core systems.

  2. 02

    Suppliers with a way in

Tills, online platforms and customer service often run through suppliers, and several retail breaches in 2025 came through a third party.

  3. 03

    Customer data in bulk

Order and loyalty databases hold names, contact details and payment data for millions of shoppers, and one query can copy a whole table.

How it works

How Rudratic fits a retailer

  1. No standing admin rights

Admins ask for time-bound access to one system, someone else approves it in Slack, Teams or email, and the session runs with injected credentials and is recorded.

  2. Customer databases watched

Customer and card columns are classified, every identity is scored against its own 30-day baseline, and a mass read of a PII table raises an alert.

    SWOT DAM
  3. Stock out to every store

Reorder points and low-stock alerts per item, purchase orders with invoices checked by OCR, goods receipts at the warehouse and delivery challans out to stores.

    SyncVentory
  4. Shifts for the peak

Accounts created by HR only, shift groups with grace periods, punch-ins from the mobile app inside the store’s geofence and overtime worked out at punch-out.

How does Rudratic help a retailer protect customer data?

SWOT DAM classifies customer and card columns every 24 hours, scores every database identity from 0 to 100 against its own 30-day baseline, and raises an alert when one query reads more than 50,000 rows from a table flagged PII or financial.

Can SWOT PAM stop help desk impersonation?

No tool stops a person being tricked, but SWOT PAM limits what a hijacked account can do. There are no standing admin rights: each admin session needs a request, another person’s approval and an SSO and TOTP sign-in, and it is recorded. Break-glass overrides are logged and alerted at high priority.

How do till and platform suppliers get access?

With SWOT PAM, a supplier requests one system for a set window. Once approved, the session runs in a browser with the credentials injected, is recorded, and ends when the window closes.

Does SyncVentory track stock from the warehouse to stores?

Yes. It holds a reorder point per item with low and zero stock alerts, books arrivals in with goods receipts, and sends stock out on delivery challans that deduct it in one step. Every movement is logged.

Does Rudratic make a retailer PCI DSS compliant?

No product does on its own. SWOT PAM and SWOT DAM produce evidence for the PCI DSS access and logging requirements; whether you meet them depends on your scope, configuration and your assessor.
